Just in time for the big holiday called Xmas (or something) the team at VSL has posted a new update to Vienna Ensemble Pro. They call it “public beta” but their released builds are always very solid so I’m jumping straight in.
And is it a nice update! Finally it seems that EastWest PLAY can co-exist in the same arrangement as VE Pro now. It was a naughty AU-bug which “could be” fixed if you loaded the PLAY plugins first. Take a look at the changelog below.

Arturia has just released version 2 of one of my favorite softsynths, the ARP2600 V. And the update is FREE for registered users!
I’m a bit scared of opening up this plug, sometimes I start to play with the various presets and time just flies. But it is one of my favorites for getting that “ultra” analog sound.
Apart from various small fixes it also includes several new presets from J Thompson, K Lamb, R Lyons, T Conrardy and T Odakama. How does it sound? As lovely as always…
